Chapter 94 

She moved towards the window, staring into the pitch–black night outside, her voice as though it was drifting from the vast night sky. It was low, melancholy and distant: 

“Don’t worry, as my last design project at Astral Enterprises, I’ll give it my all. I can afford to lose, but my design can’t.” 

She seemed to place an unusual emphasis on the word “last” 

For a moment, Leopold thought she was playing games, threatening to jump ship. 

But the next second, he felt she might really leave. 

After all, she was money–minded. As long as the offer was good, why wouldn’t she go? 

“Are you sure you want to go against me?” 

She gave a cold laugh. “Mr. Leopold, I’m just a hired hand here. I work for money and my future. I go where the conditions are better. What does it have to do with me whether the boss is happy or not? I’m not working for love!” 

Annoyance flared up in Leopold’s eyes. “If you were just an ordinary employee, you could leave now!” 

“I am an ordinary employee. Whatever happened between us is negligible.” 

She hadn’t enjoyed any preferential treatment because of their relationship. On the contrary, she faced 

numerous restrictions. 

This relationship was more harmful than beneficial to her! 

She would rather not have it! 

Leopold’s face darkened, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light, like a terrifying lightning, cold and intimidating. 

She was always capable of infuriating him to the point of nausea. 

He suddenly leaned over, his thin lips brutally covering hers, silencing her. 

“Mmm.” 

She was embarrassed, angry and annoyed. She bit his lip. 

He groaned, but didn’t let go, instead, he deepened the kiss, wildly plundering and seizing. 

The taste of blood mingled between their lips. 

She was running out of oxygen, her mind became fuzzy, without thoughts, courage, and strength. 

Her teeth loosened. Her body melted into a puddle of water, collapsing in his embrace, allowing him to invade. 

His hand covered her heart, playing with it at will. 

His intense possessiveness was gradually driving him insane. 

He was her rightful husband. Everything about her should belong to him! 

Just as he was about to claim her completely, there was a sudden jolt in her belly. 

Both of them felt it instantly, and it brought them back to reality. 

Leopold instinctively let go of her. 

“Did I press on your stomach? 

He had always been careful, even when he was on top of her, he would prop himself up with his elbow to avoid pressing down on her stomach. 

Aurelia took a deep breath to calm her rapid breathing, raised her hand and touched her belly, “Is the baby moving?” 

She was already four months pregnant. According to the books, the first noticeable moverment of the baby would be around this time 

Leopold’s eyes lit up. He quickly bent down, pressing his ear against her belly. 

Her belly trembled slightly, like it was gently kicked by a tiny foot. 

He was thrilled, “It moved again. Did you feel it?” 

“Mmm, it seems like it’s really the baby moving.”
