Leopold choked a bit, "Don’t be so superstitious, okay?"
Aurelia pouted her lips, "Better safe than sorry, Leopold. We need all the good vibes we can get after going through hell and back."
Leopold broke into a light sweat, "Fine, we'll renew our vows after the Christmas holidays. Don’t change your mind. Pinky promise."
Aurelia rolled her eyes playfully at him, "The great first heir of Elysium acting like a child, huh?"
"I don't care, pinky promise it is." He extended his little finger and hooked it with hers.
She stuck out her tongue, "Alright, pinky swear. No take-backs are allowed ever."
Settling back on the couch, she got herself a glass of juice and took a delicate sip, "Even though we've dismantled AK Group, Geoffrey's still at large. He's quite the enigma and we still know next to nothing about him."
Leopold curled his lips into a sinister smirk, "Without AK Group and Tanya's financial backing, he can't do much on his own."
"Let's hope you're right." Aurelia still harbored a sliver of unease. Perhaps Geoffrey's destructive capacity was greater than they imagined.
"How are you planning to handle things with Skyler? Are you going to tell him the truth?"
Leopold replied with a heavy tone, "I've discussed it with Uncle Hanson. It's better not to tell him the truth. Let's just keep him being a Heninger."
"That's probably for the best." Aurelia sighed softly, trusting that Skyler himself wouldn't want to be Tanya's son but to live carefreely.
The next day, Jessica threw a family dinner and had Hanson bring his daughter and son to the Stirling Mansion.
Coming to know of her aunt's doings, Leah was shocked that all this havoc had been wreaked by her. It was unfathomable.
They unanimously decided to keep Skyler in the dark.
Skyler shook his head vigorously, "Dad, I don't want to be an adult. I like being a kid. And I don't like those teachers and they don't even play video games. So boring."
Hanson sighed. If only he had spent more time with Skyler, perhaps he wouldn't be so averse to growing up.
Jessica patted his shoulder, "Skyler needs time. I'll take good care of him. Don't worry."
Since he listened to Aurelia, they would let her guide him. In the art of handling mature kids, she had an extraordinary talent.
At that moment, the butler arrived with news. The second young master Raines Stirling had called and he would be returning to Elysium next week.
Since joining the Stirling family, Aurelia had never met Raines. Even during festive seasons, he was absent.
All she knew, as Fredric had mentioned, was that Raines had suffered a head injury as a child, resulting in hippocampal damage and memory disorders.
