Aurelia pondered for a moment.
If they were indeed identical twins, they should look strikingly similar. But Geoffrey had been frail since birth, so there was no way he could have built up the brawny frame that Skyler had. Maybe as kids, Geoffrey could have passed for Skyler, but as they grew up, the difference in their builds would have been too noticeable.
But there was no chance he could have grown up to look like Raines, right? Maybe it was just a coincidence that both had poor health and similar stature.
Still, she decided to keep an eye out just in case. It was better to be safe than sorry.
After all, they still knew nothing about Geoffrey. Whether he was Skyler's twin brother was still up in the air.
"Geoffrey's out there hiding somewhere. Keeping an eye out is a good idea. Who knows, he might be masquerading as someone we know, lurking around us," she mused.
Skyler scratched his head. "So, could this Raines be a fake? Could he be Geoffrey in disguise?"
"Does Geoffrey have the skills to change his face?" Aurelia said, stopping midway through her thought. The idea wasn't entirely impossible. All it would take was a hefty sum of money to create a realistic mask.
But even the best masks had their flaws. With extremely careful observation, one could spot them.
Skyler sighed. "I don't know if Geoffrey could do that, but he's really cunning. I used to be terrified of him."
Aurelia patted his shoulder. "The fear you had was because no one believed you. Tanya made everyone think you were sick with some delusional disorder. No one was there to help, and Geoffrey could bully you all he wanted. But things are different now. We're all on your side. The more support you have, the stronger you are. Geoffrey's the isolated one now."
Her words brought Skyler a great deal of comfort.
Now, Geoffrey must be green with envy, hating that Skyler was no longer the timid mouse who had to obey his every command.
"Angel, I'll help you guys find Geoffrey," Skyler vowed. "We can't let him get away with everything. He has to pay for his wrongdoings."
