"I get it!" Noelle could not imagine breaking the news to Tania, Uncle Henry, or Aunt Nancy. It would just crush them. "How could this disaster strike after waiting for Tania to return for so long, just as she and Peter are about to reunite? Who's behind this mess? Charles, who have you and Peter pissed off?"

"I'm just as clueless!" Charles said with a hint of frustration. "If I had any idea, we wouldn’t have a problem. But there is someone who's looking pretty shady."

"But what?"

"Forget it. Don't worry about it right now. How's the West City project you and Brian are working on for Colossus Group coming along?"

"We're nearly done with it. I heard from Mr. Parker that you're considering ditching Lennon Group," Noelle said as if a lightbulb had gone off in her head. "Is it because of Peter?"

"It's because of Tania!" Charles playfully tousled Noelle's hair. "The Lennon family has been on our case, and if I don't step up, they'll start thinking the Hoffmans are pushovers, won't they?"

Noelle nodded vigorously, totally on board with the idea. "Tania is the Hoffman family's pride and joy. She’s Uncle Henry and Aunt Nancy's little princess. There's no way they should let the Lennon family push her around." Noelle was fed up with the Lennon family's shenanigans. She had not met them personally, but Aunt Nancy had told her about how poorly they treated Tania back in the day. Without Peter standing up for her, Tania might have been tormented by the Lennons nonstop.

"But if we ditch Lennon Group, who will Colossus Group team up with for this huge project?" Noelle pondered, knowing that Colossus did not make partnership decisions lightly.
