After they exited the restaurant, they gathered in Lucas' car while waiting for Corinne to come back with Bryan. That was when they spotted Jeremy dining on the first floor.
Francine was anything but calm. She had resigned herself to the idea that her brother was gone forever, so seeing him in the flesh felt so surreal that she felt as if she had to touch him to truly believe his existence.
"You're all seeing it too, right? That's Jeremy! Jeremy is back! Let go of me! I'm going to ask him where he's been in the past three years!" Francine struggled to break free of their hold.
Xante adjusted her spectacles and spoke rationally, "Yes, we're seeing the same thing as you are. However, I suggest that you look at who's sitting across from him before you charge in blindly."
Francine thus looked over and noticed a woman sitting opposite Jeremy. It was none other than Sophia, and her presence only served to intensify Francine's anger.
"Hmph! I knew it had to be Sophia! She hid my brother for three years! That b*tch! I'm going to go in and give her a piece of my mind!"
Though Annie was just as excited to see Jeremy again, she was fortunately more composed than Francine and tried to persuade her against it. "Calm down, Francine! Corinne probably sent us a message and told us to leave because she saw Uncle Jeremy, too! Let's wait for her to come out before figuring out our next move. Haven't you noticed he's sitting in a wheelchair instead of a regular chair?"
Francine noticed that from the beginning, and that was precisely the reason for her urgency earlier. She could not fathom how a healthy man would end up in a wheelchair. She was convinced that Sophia had done something to harm Jeremy just so Sophia could keep him to herself. No other woman was as cunning and evil as Sophia, and Francine was itching to get down from the car to confront Sophia.
Lucas, however, intervened sternly, "That's enough! Quiet down!"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
