The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 1672

Lucas' gaze hardened. "Stop talking nonsense, and move out of the way right now!"

Sunny was scared to death, but he did not move. Needless to say, he was scared stiff.

Lucas was at the end of his patience. He pushed Sunny to the floor and opened the door to see Corinne sitting on the edge of the hospital bed, feeding Maxwell some soup. The scene was so idyllic that Lucas thought he was imagining things, and the anger on his face gradually faded.

Sunny, too, was shocked when he saw the scene after getting up from the floor.

Corinne did not want to visit Maxwell, yet she was actually feeding him soup at that moment.

Corinne did not do it because she had forgiven Maxwell, but because she could not bear to see how pitiful he looked when he tried to feed himself with trembling hands. There was even blood seeping out from the bandage on his wrists.

After snapping out of his shock, Lucas turned and glared at Sunny. "I told you to not call her, didn't I?"

Sunny laughed awkwardly while rubbing the back of his head. "Well, I didn't call her… But I did go pick her up at her place."

Lucas scoffed. "You think you're so smart, huh?"

Sunny did not dare to say anything after that.

Lucas strode to the bed, took the half-eaten bowl of soup from Corinne's hand, and placed it on the bedside table. "You don't have to feed him. He can starve if that's what he wants."

After glancing at him, she stood up slowly and said, "Perfect timing, Mister Lucas. I was just about to leave. Do take good care of your father."

Corinne started walking out of the ward, but Lucas rested his hand gently on her head and said, "Wait outside for me. I'll give you a ride home."
