The kids looked at Corinne. They could tell by her face that she was indeed tired.
"Then promise us, Daddy. Ask those weird men to stop following us, please?" begged Christine with her head tilted.
Jeremy glanced at the bodyguards that were standing behind the kids and gestured to them with his chin.
The three bodyguards immediately got the message and walked away.
The kids sighed in relief. They finally won their freedom!
Christine took a good look at Joey and said, "Joey, you're injured! Are you okay? Does it hurt?"
Joey shook his head and stroked Christine's head like a good old brother. "I'm fine now. Daddy and Mommy saved me just in time! These wounds don't hurt one bit."
"I knew Joey would be home safe and sound! After all, he's the bravest among us!" said Bryan.
Benjamin nodded. "Our family has finally reunited! No more kidnapping!"
Corinne was heartened to see the kids were getting along well. She went near Jeremy and clasped his hand tightly while they enjoyed the hard-won reunion.
"Alright! Jeremy, Corinne, let's get inside. Grandpa and Grandma are still waiting for you!" urged Francine.
"Okay."
Corinne and Jeremy brought the kids into the house, where all of them could sit and have a good hearty chat.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
