Shaun's action made everyone view the man from a different perspective. It was the man who suddenly appeared on the set. After all, in this crew, Shaun practically called the shots. Shaun showing utmost respect indicated that this man held an extraordinary status.
"If I hadn't come, were you planning to ignore the whole situation?" Lucas glanced at him, clearly dissatisfied with the occurrence of this matter.
Shaun was the one who hired Melody, and he knew that Melody had not managed her properly. Being reprimanded by Lucas left him with no excuses. He could only bow and admit his mistake. "Indeed, I didn't handle this matter well. I'm truly sorry."
"So you know you didn't handle it well, huh? Let me take care of it for you today." Lucas did not say much more and walked toward Melody.
Watching him approach step by step, Melody was still in shock. "Lucas, why... Why are you here?"
"If you feel wronged and uncomfortable, then go home and rest for a few days," Lucas said as he lowered his head, looking at her tenderly. "The household will be fine even without your contribution."
Initially filled with grievances, Melody had no outlet for her emotions, so she could only endure. But now that Lucas appeared and spoke such words to her, the pent-up grievances in her heart erupted, and she could no longer contain them. "But I haven't done anything wrong, Lucas! I don't know why it turned out like this..."
Upon hearing her words, Lucas pulled her into his embrace. "Don't worry, I will handle this."
Edmund had presented the results of his investigation to him before he came.
Since the makeup artist enjoyed talking nonsense so much, it was time to teach her a lesson. Edmund had been by his side for many years, and Lucas trusted that he could handle this matter perfectly.
After entrusting the aftermath to Edmund, Lucas drove to the film set. While this matter was easily resolved, repeated occurrences could tarnish the reputations of both Melody and the Riveras.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
