The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 2385

Melody sighed internally. She did not know whether telling Beatrice about the photo was the right thing to do.

Beatrice soon messaged Melody, telling her not to worry and that she had safely arrived home.

[Alright, get some rest. Goodnight,] Melody replied.

Cedric, noticing Beatrice's hurried return from Melody's place, found it strange. After all, she had mentioned staying at Melody's for the night when she left.

"What are you doing back? It's so late! Couldn't you have stayed at Melody's? You should've convinced her to come back if her place is so horrible to live in."

Beatrice waved her hand dismissively. "Melody's place is fine. I came back for other reasons."

Her angry demeanor worried Cedric. "Did something else happen?"

Beatrice let out a disdainful snort. "Hmph, it seems we're getting more and more lenient as we age. I can't believe we allowed Thalia to stir up trouble in our home!"

"What do you mean by that? Hasn't she been behaving herself lately?" Cedric poured a glass of tea for Beatrice and placed it in front of her, advising her to let it cool before drinking.

"That night, I caught her sneaking around in the kitchen and the study. Do you know what she did? She took intimate photos with Lucas behind our backs and then pretended to accidentally send them to Melody!"

Beatrice nodded in agreement. "Otherwise, I would have definitely confronted that woman by now. I need to investigate what exactly happened that day. It's essential to find out what kind of drug she gave Lucas."

Cedric agreed wholeheartedly. Thus, despite the late hour, the mansion was brightly lit as all the household staff were gathered for a meeting.

"Miss Beatrice, Mister Cedric, why are you two still up at this late hour?" one of the servants inquired.

Beatrice gave a wry smile. "I have some matters to discuss and wanted to ask everyone's opinion. Once we've sorted things out, we'll let you all go back to bed, so I'd appreciate your cooperation for the time being."
