Beatrice got up relatively early that morning. She felt a bit weak, so she asked everyone to leave her alone and not hover around her. She then laid down on Lucas' sofa for a while.
When Lucas returned, this was the scene he saw, and his brows immediately furrowed as he walked to his grandmother's side.
"Grandma, why don't you go to my lounge to rest if you're tired? How old are you? How can you sleep on the sofa? Your body can't handle it! Edmund—"
Edmund pushed the door open and entered, "Yes, Mister Lucas?"
"Why didn't you ask my grandmother to rest in the lounge?"
Beatrice woke up and immediately intercepted Lucas' reprimand. "Don't scold Edmund like that. I wanted to sleep here! He told me that I could go to your lounge, but I don't want to. I just wanted to sleep on your sofa today."
Lucas fell silent.
"Alright, Edmund, carry on what you were doing just now. I need to talk to my grandson for a moment."
After Edmund nodded and left, Beatrice no longer concealed her concern.
"Did you just come back from the hospital Miss Thalia is staying in? There's a strong smell of disinfectant coming from you. How's she recovering now?"
"She woke up briefly while I was there. I asked about the milk, and she got worked up and then passed out again."
Beatrice snorted. "She faints easily! So, did she get worked up because she doesn't want to admit to tampering with the milk?"

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
