Mister Shaun was livid. It was as if he was about to eat someone alive.
"Where did you come from, murderer? You claimed to be Melody's mother? Even if you are, you shouldn't cause trouble in my crew!
"Besides, you were aiming to kill her! Is a person like you worthy of being called a mother?
"Arrest her! Take her to the police station, and let the police officers question this person! How could she be Melody's mother?"
The director was fuming. He did not know Helen's identity all that much, but his tone was brutal.
Helen should not have assaulted Melody just because she claimed to be her mother.
He did not learn about Melody's background, and he never expected that she had such a mother.
Lucas arrived faster before the ambulance did. If he had not remembered Melody's advice to him to abide by the laws, he might have been going through those red lights and speeding all the way here.
As soon as he arrived at the set, he slammed the car door and hurried over.
His heart wrenched when he saw Melody lying on the ground.
He looked around and saw a woman he had never seen before. She was holding a bag, but she looked rather flustered.
The surrounding staff also looked wary.
"Who did it?"
Mister Shaun pointed at Helen. Although Helen was not familiar with Lucas, she could feel from the aura that this man was either rich or noble.
She was about to greet him when the man took off his watch and slapped her mercilessly.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
