‘What illegal activities?‘ thought Corinne puzzledly. It was obvious she was confused by the expression on her face.
Jeremy came over and asked in a low voice, “Which case are you referring to?”
It was only then the police officers noticed Jeremy was also in the room. They were a little caught off guard by that.
“Mister Jeremy, do you know Miss Corinne?”
“Yes. What business do you have with her?” questioned Jeremy seriously.
Anya–who was standing next to Jeremy–recalled the terrible ordeal she experienced last night when she saw the police officers. Instinctively, she leaned on Jeremy for support, as she exclaimed anxiously, “Mister police, what case is Corinne involved in? Is there a possibility that you might’ve gotten the wrong person? She’s a good person, I tell you.”
The police officers were even more thrown off to see Anya. Miss Anya, you’re here, too! So both of you know Miss Corinne.
Considering the victim and her ‘family‘ had a right to know, the police officers decided to go straight to the point. “It’s like this, Mister Jeremy… We’ve already caught the perpetrator who tried to rape Miss Anya last night. Under our intense interrogation, the perpetrator finally confessed everything, saying that a certain Corinne Carew gave him fifteen thousand dollars to carry out a rape crime against Miss Anya.”

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
