Anya left her seat to get the cake.
Lucas watched her sister walk off before he looked at Jeremy, who was sitting across from him, and his gaze became dignified.
“Jeremy, don’t you think you’re too cold to Anya?”
Jeremy looked up at him. “Is this your first day knowing me?”
Lucas was speechless.
Jeremy was right. They knew each other since childhood and were in the same social circle.
Jeremy indeed was always indifferent growing up. He was never too friendly to anybody.
However, at the thought of his sister, whom he doted on since childhood, would be marrying a man who had no clue how to care for a girl at all in the future, Lucas could not help but sigh. He had no idea what Anya saw in him!
Lucas did not hold Jeremy responsible for his attitude toward Anya earlier anymore. He got down to business with him.
“Jeremy, I already know that you and Anya adopted a child abroad behind both your parents’ backs.”

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
