What Corinne hated the most was the way Lucas thought he was better than everybody else just because he was lucky enough to be born into a wealthy and prominent family. "We're all humans on this earth. No one is better than anybody else! You say he's tasked with a great burden on his shoulder but have you ever asked if he wanted that?
No matter how self-righteous you made the whole thing sound, it still doesn't make it right for you to impose your wishes on another person! I used to think life would be better for me if I was born into a wealthy family. Then I could do whatever I wish to do without ever having to worry about making ends meet. Lucas's eyes turned ice cold while his face flickered with displeasure. "Are you done talking? If you are, then I highly suggest you leave this room this instant."
Corinne was not done. She smirked and asked, "Mister Lucas if you think your disciplinary method is so great, why does it seem you're not happy with the way Sunny has turned out? Have you ever asked yourself that question?
"You should since you're the one who single-handedly raised him to become who he is. When you berate him for how he turned out, it's equivalent to you berating yourself for failing to bring him up properly. Don't you see just how fallible you are too? So how can you ask Sunny to be perfect?"
Lucas frowned. She managed to hit a sore spot of his. His face darkened and his lips were drawn into a tight line.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
