Annie listened to Corinne as though she was receiving the gospel.
"To be honest, I'm not sure if I'll be okay with an open relationship, but I really like him… And I don't wanna give up just yet. Corinne, can you teach me how to be okay if the relationship ends?"
Corinne sighed. She knew there was no stopping Annie, so she patted her shoulder and said, "You shouldn't be scared of getting hurt if you like him that much. Whether you'll come out of the end of a relationship unscathed depends on your nature. I can't teach you that."
To be honest, Corinne was not that confident whether she would be okay should Jeremy break up with her one day.
"That's all I have to say on this matter. You should just follow your heart," she added. After that, she got up so she could go outside to give Aaron a scathing phone call. 'I told him to leave Annie alone, so what the hell is he doing proposing to her?! He must be trying to piss me off!'
She walked out of the room and was about to find a quiet place to call Aaron when she saw a tall, handsome figure walking down the stairs. She did not need to see his face to know that it was her husband, Jeremy.
'Shouldn't he be downstairs? Did he just come up? Was he heading up to look for me? That can't be right. He would've knocked on Annie's door if he was looking for me. Was he just using the bathroom upstairs?' thought Corinne.
Corinne decided not to overthink the whole thing, so she went into the bathroom not far away and closed the door to give Aaron a call.
Aaron picked up on the second ring. "What's up, Boss?" he asked nonchalantly.
"What the hell were you thinking?" hissed Corinne.
"What do you mean, Boss? What are you talking about?" he drawled lazily.
"Don't play dumb! Why did you propose to Annie?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
