No worries.
Charles just put a temporary hold on her card. But she still had her place at Rosewood Manor. Over the years, Charles might not have showered her with gifts, but he did give her a card. For every occasion, big or small, he let her buy whatever her heart desired. And in his indulgence, he never questioned her purchases—as long as she was happy, that was enough.
Thanks to this, her closet at Rosewood was brimming with exquisite jewelry, designer bags, and clothes. She could easily sell some of it at a second-hand store and still live comfortably, even without Charles' card. She just needed to ride out this rough patch. Once Charles cooled down, he'd surely hand her card back. He couldn’t bear to see Sandy go through tough times.
As Dahlia thought about this, her heart settled, and her mood brightened. But that good feeling vanished the moment she returned to Rosewood. Stepping out of the car, she couldn't believe her eyes. What was happening?
Her front gate was wide open, and her yard was filled with her jewelry, designer bags, and clothes. People were moving in and out, hauling her things away. Dahlia's eyes blazed with anger as she wheeled herself forward, shouting, "What are you doing? Put everything down! Do you hear me? Put it down!"
"Don't touch those! They're mine!" Dahlia frantically tried to stop them, but they ignored her, continuing to clear out her things. Stuck in her wheelchair, she could do nothing but simmer in helpless fury.
Realizing she couldn't stop them alone, she angrily grabbed her phone to call the estate manager. The manager picked up quickly. Without hesitation, Dahlia unleashed her fury, "Are you all asleep at the switch? I pay a fortune in management fees every year, and you couldn't even keep the gate secure!"
"Who let these people in? You've got five minutes to get over here and kick this lot out of my house!" Dahlia’s words were cutting, laced with insults directed at the manager.
"Who's barking now?" the manager replied coldly. He saved his good manners for property owners. Not long ago, Mr. Jenkins had personally informed him that the villa's new owner was Evelyn. Dahlia meant nothing now, and the manager wasn’t about to be polite given her attitude.
That remark sent Dahlia over the edge. "How dare you speak to me like that? Just you wait, I'll make you pay for this!"
The manager, uninterested in Dahlia's outburst, hung up on her. With no one to help her, Dahlia watched helplessly as more than half of her belongings were carted off. If this kept up, she wouldn’t have anything left.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day Our Promise Breaks (Charles and Evelyn)
What a bad novel. Evil deeds rules the entire story, no ending, villains characters succeed, no way out for the good people. I was hoping for better twists but disappointed again and again. Time close the book for me, no more, enough....
When will Evelyn's sufferings end? You mean to say evil rules the world? No longer funny, the twists are getting ridiculous....
Wow Finally! Thanks!...
More chapters please...
