She stared at Aaron in utter disbelief.

She never imagined that someone Brooks considered a friend would drug her.

This was her first time meeting Aaron; Evelyn couldn't fathom why he would do this to her.

Only one thought echoed in her mind: Get out of this room, now.

She staggered to her feet, but her body felt weak and unsteady. The world spun around her, and she collapsed back onto the plush sofa.

She could feel her consciousness slipping away.

Aaron sat nearby, watching her coldly.

The wine wasn’t just laced with an aphrodisiac—it also contained a sedative that would make Evelyn briefly lose consciousness.

The plan was simple: by the time Evelyn woke up, the drug would have taken full effect, and she would naturally end up in Brooks’ arms.
