Tears streamed down Joanna’s face once more. 

As she looked at the despicable faces before her, she felt an overwhelming sense of disappointment. 

She had hoped to resolve this matter through proper channels without involving Robin. 

Even the university, meant to be a bastion of purity and justice, was rife with corruption. 

With her identity and the power of her brother, Robin, she possessed countless resources.

Joanna’s voice was icy. “I’m at a loss. What could I possibly have done to offend you so deeply? You, of all people, a woman from a respectable family, acting with such malice. How can you reconcile your supposed nobility with these shameful actions? You smeared my reputation with lies. Do you even understand how malicious that is?” 

Yvonne’s smirk slowly faded as she stepped toward Joanna, her eyes darkening. 

“Because Cadoc likes you,” she said simply. “I chose Cadoc. I won’t allow him to like any other woman. Since childhood, anything I set my sights on–no one else is allowed to touch it!” 

Joanna shook her head bitterly. “Cadoc? He’s nothing but a repulsive lump of fat to me. Just the sight of him disgusts me. If you want him, take him. What does that have to do with me?” 

Yvonne’s expression turned even colder. “It doesn’t matter. He likes you, and that alone is unacceptable. Since he desires you, I’ll destroy you.”

As Yvonne ranted with manic excitement, Joanna shook her head in sorrow. 

Yvonne sneered. “Here’s a dose of reality–you’re finished. Hadden’s promised ‘proof of your shady deals- fabrications, of course. But soon, photos and videos will surface, ‘proving‘ everything. My bodyguards are about to take you somewhere special. They’ll stage a scandal, capture every compromising image. Once those are online, your denials will mean nothing. No one will believe you. Hahaha!” 

Joanna’s eyes widened in sheer horror. 

She had never imagined Yvonne’s scheme would be this twisted, this evil! 

“Yvonne, do you understand what you’re doing?” Joanna’s voice trembled with rage. “This will destroy you! It will destroy the Fields! This isn’t an empty threat!” 

“You? Destroy me?” Yvonne scoffed. “A pathetic nobody like you dares to threaten me?” 

Her expression twisted with malice, and she raised her hand to slap Joanna. 

Smack! 

The slap landed–but not on Joanna. 

Yvonne was sent staggering backward, her vision spinning as pain exploded across her face. 

“You wretched, disgusting creature–how dare you lay a hand on Ms. Renee!” 

The entire office fell into stunned silence. 

Standing before Joanna were Shirley, Catherine, Talia, Freya, Maverick, Brendon, and Elliott–all radiating a chilling, deadly aura. 

Shirley quickly stepped forward, taking Joanna’s arm. “Renee, you’ve suffered enough! Robin knows everything. He’s already on campus.” 

Joanna shuddered, then turned to Yvonne, who had collapsed onto the floor. With a heavy sigh, she murmured, “Was all this really necessary?” 

Yvonne, still dazed, glanced up–and froze.
