The Dragon Soul squad, however, was left trapped, surrounded on all sides.

more. 

They noticed a high ridge about 160 feet ahead. 

At its peak sat a white wolf, with four powerful black wolves crouched beside it.

If the wolves returned and found them, no matter how well they were hidden, avoiding an attack would be nearly impossible. 

But an order from above couldn’t be disobeyed.
