The door was not locked.
Lumi sat on a rocking chair on the balcony, holding her favorite teddy bear that was half her height, with her laptop and phone on the table next to her.
The computer screen was displaying a soaring chart of the stock market.
Kirsi paused. She knew about Lumi's habit.
When Lumi was in a bad mood, she liked to look at the stock market because at least, she still had money flowing in.
It was also a coincidence that every time Lumi was in a bad mood, the stock market would soar.
But now, the person who put her in a bad mood was her dearest sister.
Kirsi suppressed her heavy heart and walked over step by step.
Lumi tilted her head slightly and saw her.
"You don't need to shoot today?"
Her tone was calm, as if nothing big happened.
Kirsi paused and answered.
"I took a leave of absence. I wanted to come over yesterday, but I couldn't leave because that scene wasn't completed..."
This was also unexpected.
Kirsi, who always shot her scenes in one go, was slow to get into the right state of mind yesterday when she was filming.
Even the director was in disbelief. The people next to her just watched and ridiculed her mediocre professionalism.
It was the first time Kirsi lost her composure.
She just could not control it.
That scene was shot until 3:00 am, and it barely passed the director's expectations.
By then, Kirsi could not rush over and could only take a nap in the car.
Kirsi laughed lightly, as if she just brought up a lingering but extremely meaningless past incident.
Lumi frowned slightly. "Why not? If you tell someone, how can Dad still be indifferent about it?"
Kirsi looked at her and smiled.
"That's because even if I said it, I would just be transferred to another company. They'd even dislike me for ruining the relationship between the two families."
"You're thinking too much, right?”
Lumi rolled her eyes speechlessly.
"So, this is you deliberately getting back at me?"
Kirsi paused and lowered her eyes. Her voice was calm and cold. "I have no intention to get back at you. I just want to say that because of you, I have never hated anyone in the Makinen family. I willingly became an actress to fight for my career just to completely cut off my ties with the Makinen family's interests. That way, I wouldn't become a thorn in Aunt Mia's side."
Lumi snorted lightly. She was obviously unconcerned with her thoughts.
"I know that you have a low self-esteem, but you're the one who treated yourself as an outsider first. After so many years, I really have nothing to say if you're mentally unbalanced because of a slight bias."
