Ian was furious, but when he saw her happy and cheeky smile, his anger dissipated.
"Forget it. Why did you ask me to come over?”
Nicole laughed. "I asked you to come over and have fun! Don’t you like this kind of occasion the most?"
Ian had the most fun in this kind of scene, but he felt uncomfortable today, and Nicole seemed to have sensed it.
Ian’s face was a little flustered. He frowned and said, "I have something else to do. I'm leaving if there’s nothing else."
Nicole stopped him. Seeing that Ian was uncomfortable, she did not say anything.
"Wait a sec. Let me go to the bathroom, then we can leave together. Send me to the golf course."
Ian glanced at the time and sighed helplessly.
Never mind.
He did not want to be calculative with her.
Ian tossed up the car keys in his hand and rushed her in an arrogant tone.
"Hurry up, then! I'm not waiting for anyone!"
Nicole clicked her tongue and went straight out.
Soon, Nicole sent Ian a message saying that she was already at the entrance.
Ian took his keys and went out.
Coincidentally, he bumped into Lumi at the staiis. Their eyes met, and Ian paused for a moment.
Lumi smiled casually. "You're leaving already?"
Ian nodded. "I still have something to do. I’ll come over next time."
Lumi nodded and moved out of the way.
The two walked past each other. The moment Ian got downstairs, he breathed a sigh of relief.
He no longer felt so nervous as before.
Nicole stood at the entrance, looking at a pot of plant at the door.
She tilted her head and looked deep in thought.
Ian walked over with a smile. "If you want it, I’ll buy you that plant?"
Nicole shook her head. "No, I'm looking at the pot. I don't want it if it’s not made of gold."
Ian paused, and the corners of his mouth twitched.
"Dream on!"
Nicole and Ian laughed as they walked out.
Lumi, who was upstairs, saw Nicole and Ian getting into the car. She blinked and saw that Ian's eyes were glued to Nicole.
Everyone in the circle knew that Ian had a good relationship with Nicole.
So, that was what a man's gaze looked like when he was with the woman he liked.
"Sis..."
A familiar voice came from behind.
This voice made Lumi feel repulsed.
Lumi turned her head ;a$;UMQ< saw Kirsi standing there with a smile. Several men and women were standing behind Kirsi, and they looked like Kirsi's colleagues from the set.
"I came out for dinner with my friends from the set. Since I haven't been to your new restaurant, I came here to support you."
Lumi should be happy to have such an obedient sister.
However, all she felt now was disgust.
The corners of Lumi’s mouth twitched.
“You're too polite. Drinks aren't on the house, but you can get a 10% discount when you apply for a membership card. By the way, there's a minimum order of $30,000. If you want to eat here, you can go to the private room behind you."
The view and vibe of that private room were the worst in the restaurant, but Kirsi deserved it.
Lumi did not want to talk to Kirsi anymore and left immediately.
The rest of Kirsi's group looked at each other in dismay.
"That boss is so feisty! Is that really your sister?"
Kirsi laughed. "She’s just kidding. Y’all can go in first!"
She finished speaking and chased after Lumi.
"Sis, I know that you're still blaming me for what happened. But are you going to just throw away our sisterhood of more than 20 years because of a man?'
Lumi paused in her footsteps and turned around slowly. She looked at Kirsi's face and could not bring herself to smile.
"Sisterhood? I thought it was just my onesided feelings for those 20 years! If you really thought of me as your sister, would you have done something like this?!"
Kirsi pursed her lips. "It was for your own good that I didn't tell you at first."
"Oh, then I should really thank you."
