Chapter 169: Take It Easy

Rafal patted her shoulder. "Aren’t you coming?"

She got back to her senses and followed them as she heard Rafal mutter, "You better not create any trouble here. You cannot bear the consequences of offending royalty from another kingdom."

"I will keep that in mind." She frowned inside. He did not say anything wrong, but the fact she was being constantly taunted for her mistakes was upsetting. ’Does he have to rub it in my face every single time?’?’

The Crown Prince of Griven, the King of Megaris and the ancient elf strolled towards the garden as a group, with the royal knights of both kingdoms accompanying them from a certain distance.

"I’m not used to this inefficient kind of communication," Arlan started. "Everytime I think of directly teleporting to your room like in the past, I worry that my eyes will go blind seeing you in an inappropriate condition with your wife."

"You are welcome to see. You might have gotten to learn a thing or two."

"Says the one who kept refusing women for long and now going crazy over the one who he finally found. I do not expect to learn anything from a man who is yet to consummate the marriage."

"There are other things as well."

"You can carry on with it. I am fine as it is."

"Prince Arlan, about your new aide?" Yorian interrupted their petty squabble.

"What about him?"

"Isn’t he too young to work as your aide?"

"He is doing fine with his work."

Drayce and Yorian briefly looked at each other once more, confirming that they knew something Arlan didn’t.

"Oh, that’s good then."

"Is a peasant worthy of this much attention from you two?" Arlan said, his tone displeased.

He could not understand why they kept asking about his attendant. The only reason he could think of was that they realized her real gender, since that was the only strange thing noticeable at first glance. If so, then were they planning to ask him why she was hiding it in the first place? Did he have to explain why he allowed a woman in a man’s disguise to be his aide? Were Drayce and Yorian these gossipy?

In the middle of their stroll, a man with a princely bearing arrived in the garden, followed by his own subordinates.

The handsome man with sapphire blue eyes greeted Arlan and Drayce.

’Another handsome royalty?’

Oriana admired the breathtaking scenery in front of her.

’Is this kingdom summit a gathering of the most handsome men in the continent? These men, each one of them is more striking than the last. I am now wavering to decide whose appearance is the best of them all. It is hard to decide on my own. If there are girls around, I bet they’ll be swooning by now.’

Imbert, who was next to her, observed her reaction and informed her, "He is the Crown Prince of Abetha and also Queen Seren’s older brother, Prince Cian Ilven."

Oriana was taken aback that this stiff as a stone knight talked to her. "Thank you, Sir Loyset."

In Imbert’s eyes, she was Arlan’s personal aide who would follow him everywhere. It was proper for her to learn the people her master was acquainted with.

Drayce looked to be in deep thoughts.

"That witch called Zaria, do you think she will come with that madman?" Arlan asked. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"I doubt, but if she did, it would be the last day of her life," Drayce said in a cold tone.

Yorian spoke up, his expression grave, "You better not underestimate her. She does not work alone, and she has no bottomline when it comes to achieving her goals. There is a reason why a witch like her can run rampant after creating chaos in Agartha. If you deal with her without preparation, she will surely take lives as bargain chips. If she is indeed with the King of Thevailes, I am afraid that thousands of ordinary people will die in the crossfire."

Oriana, who was listening to them, felt puzzled.

’Another king? A witch? What am I even listening to? King of Thevailes, seems like these four are on bad terms with him.

"Your Majesty, pardon my rudeness," Slayer called out as he approached Drayce. "Lady Xena sent a message that Her Majesty is not feeling well."

Drayce’s expression turned serious and he was about to disappear from his spot when Arlan grabbed his arm. "Take it easy."

The young king calmed down after his friend stopped him. This was not Megaris where he could openly use magic, and neither were they in a deserted place or an enclosed area. If he were to use magic out in the open, under the gaze of outsiders, he could forget about living as a human for the rest of his life.

Drayce was not overreacting in his worry. His wife had undergone a great ordeal before coming to Othinia, and it was unknown how badly affected her health was due to this.

"Let us talk again later," he told Arlan before walking back towards the mansion building.

The Queen’s brother and the silver-haired man followed him too, leaving only Arlan and his retinue in the garden.
