The Devil's Betrothed novel Chapter 677

Chapter 677: Your Brother-In-Law

"Aren’t we missing something?" Drayce asked suddenly, diverting the others’ attention from preparing for the fight.

"Are we?" Arlan looked around, his eyes narrowing. "Where is Snowflake? Didn’t she follow us?"

"What kind of mate are you if you can’t keep her pet safe?" Drayce frowned.

"You better find her," Draven added. "You don’t want your mate getting angry at you for not looking after her pet." freewebnoveℓ.com

Arlan sighed and called out loudly several times, "Snowflake! Snowflake!"

Meanwhile, the demons heard the calls. Their leader’s expression grew serious. The presence of the God of War made them cautious, warning them against attacking the three directly. They were still wary of Draven’s former powers.

"Who are they calling?" one of the demons asked.

"A deity? The God of War’s friend?" another demon soldier speculated.

The leader frowned. "There is no deity with that name- Snowflake."

"We’ve been trapped in the demon realm for so long, who knows what new deities might exist now," another demon mused.

The leader nodded. "That’s possible, or it could be someone else with powers of darkness."

Just then, a beautiful white divine wolf appeared in front of the three worried dragons. She shook her body vigorously, dislodging dust from her soft fur.

Arlan let out a sigh of relief. "Are you alright, Snowflake?"

The white wolf approached Arlan and allowed him to pet her, signaling she was alright.

"Snowflake, whatever happens next, you have to stay safe. All you need to do is communicate with Oriana and teleport back to the Human realm with her, without waiting for any of us. Understood?"

In response, Snowflake gently rubbed her forehead against his palm, indicating her agreement.

"Good girl," Arlan praised. "Can you sense Oriana even from here?"

Snowflake looked in a specific direction, far beyond rows of mountains. She could clearly sense Oriana’s presence.

"Can you go to her on your own?" Arlan asked.

Snowflake stood quietly, staring in that particular direction.

"Don’t worry, we will see her soon," Arlan reassured her, patting her back. He understood that Snowflake was worried for Oriana as well.

On the demons’ side, the leader was shocked to see Snowflake. "Celeste? How can this be?"

"Celeste? The infamous divine wolf pet of the previous Queen brought from the heavenly realm?" a soldier asked.

"The Lord killed her long ago. How could she be alive after falling into the valley of the eternal abyss? Not a single soul can ever return from there." the leader pondered aloud.

Arlan hummed. "You can ignore us, old man, I mean old Dragon."

"Your wife’s brother doesn’t seem to understand the new relationship he’s found himself in," Draven commented, ignoring their sarcastic remarks. Their banter reminded Draven of his old friend Morpheus, who was highly skilled at mocking enemies with his words. His taunts were enough to infuriate foes even before he used his powers.

The demon leader looked puzzled by Arlan’s words and asked again, "For the last time, I am giving you an opportunity to answer me. Tell me who you are and why you are here in the Demon realm."

"For the last time, I am telling you that I am your brother-in-law, and I am here to take your sister back home with me," Arlan replied, his voice reaching clear and loud to every demon.

The leader glanced at his men, who appeared equally confused. He asked again, "And who might this sister of ours be?"

"Princess Esmeray, the princess of this demon realm," Arlan replied with pride.

"You lowly, powerless creature, dare call our princess yours?" the demon leader said angrily. "Only someone like our Lord Tharzimon is worthy of her."

"So that jerk’s name is Tharzimon?" Arlan commented. "I bet he stinks just like his name does."

The angry demon was in no mood for further teasing. "You dare trespass into the Demon realm; you won’t be returning alive from here." With that, he signaled his people to attack.

"You infuriated them by insulting their lord," Drayce commented, readying his powers.

"The one who abducted my mate deserves nothing but insult and death by my hand," Arlan said, preparing himself for the fight.

"Remember, if you can’t fight, step back and protect yourself first," Draven reminded them, knowing these two might forget that demons were much more powerful at this moment. "We need time to regain our full strength."
