The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1884

“Ralph, what’s wrong?” Seeing his expression change, Carrie asked with concern.

“Nothing. Let’s go.”

Ralph forced a relaxed smile, his hand hovering over Carrie’s shoulder as they moved forward with the crowd, but his sharp eyes were like radars, scanning their surroundings discreetly.

At that moment, his phone vibrated.

Ralph pulled out his phone from his pocket and lowered his head, looking at the screen. It was a message with only one sentence.

[Don’t panic. It’s me.]

His dark eyes narrowed slightly, and soon after, his anxious heart relaxed.

At the same time, Ryan stood in a corner on the other side of the crowd. Despite his attempt to stay low-profile, his tall and lean figure still attracted many gazes.

Amid the noisy, bustling crowd, filled with laughter and chatter, Ryan looked as lonely and desolate as an elderly man nearing the end of his life.

His eyes always trailed Ralph and Carrie, never losing sight of them.

The weather was great today, and under the warm and radiant sunlight, the woman being protected by Ralph beamed like a blooming flower.

Ryan stared at her in a daze until Carrie’s figure gradually became a blur. The trace of tenderness in his eyes was on the verge of breaking.

Hearing footsteps, he knew Yasmin had come over, so he suppressed his intense emotions and smiled bitterly, mocking himself. “Carrie always told me she wanted a normal life. I’ve never understood what she means by a normal life. But now… I think I understand. However, it’s too late.”

Yasmin’s heart ached, and she quickly comforted him. “It’s not too late, Young Master. It’s never too late for you to win Young Madam’s heart back.”

“I’ve never taken her out on a date properly, like what Ralph did.” Ryan’s reddened eyes welled up with tears, and his voice was hoarse. “I thought I gave her what she wanted, but I’ve never really asked her what she wants…”
