The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 1942

On the way back to Crescent Bay, Ian drove while Matt sat in the front seat.

In the backseat, Nigel and Justin sat quietly. They usually had endless things to talk about, but tonight, they were particularly silent.

Seeing that he was almost home, Nigel let out a sigh and placed a hand on his grandson’s shoulder. “Justin, I know that Grant took things too far tonight and made you upset.”

“Grandpa, I’m fine,” Justin replied with a faint smile, his features in the dim light projecting an indescribable allure yet cold as ice.

“Justin, don’t take it to heart.” Nigel comforted him again.

“He’s my elder brother and even saved my life when we were young, so I owe him a great debt. I’ll let it slide this time,” Justin said, implying that he would not put up with it happening again.

He was Bella’s husband, not a pushover! He could not stand the thought of any man trying to win over Bella.

“Grant won’t stay long this time. He’ll return to Meridan in a few days. In the future, try to keep Bella away from where he is. Bella is such an outstanding girl. Countless men will find her incredibly attractive and captivating. No matter how cool and controlled men act on the outside, deep down, they’ve got a restless side. Especially men from our Salvador family, when they meet someone they like, they can’t care less about ethics and principles. Your muddle-headed father is an example,” Nigel said, shaking his head continuously.

Gregory, on the other end, probably couldn’t stop sneezing.

“Grandpa, love isn’t about controlling or restricting someone; it’s about mutual understanding and being there for each other,” Justin said firmly, his long lashes casting subtle shadows that hinted at his emotions. “Bella just needs to be herself, free and unrestricted. I can protect her, and I’m confident no one can come between us.”

“Silly child, human nature is so complex. You can’t feel safe just because your relationship is going well right now! Look at Carrie and Ryan. Didn’t they have an amazing relationship? Yet, they suffered so much, and Ryan almost lost his life just to be with Carrie.”
