Along the way, Yvonne followed behind Taylor. Although she was expressionless, cold sweat had drenched through her thin dress, and her footsteps were as heavy as lead.

Christopher liked those roses a lot. Now that he suddenly got rid of them and summoned her, he must have noticed it already.

Returning to her senses, Yvonne closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, she had a resolute look, as if she were about to be executed.

Yvonne was brought to that blood-soaked basement, where God knows how many people were executed.

A few men stood guard in the four corners. On the luxurious and comfortable red velvet sofa in the middle, Christopher lazily crossed his long legs, wearing a meticulous gray suit as he sipped red wine.

He did not fit in with the eerie atmosphere around him.

“Yvonne, I heard you did not leave your room for four days. How is it? Have you rested enough now?” Christopher swirled his glass, asking with an ambiguous smile.

Yvonne bit her lips and did not reply.

Christopher narrowed his dark eyes and slowly pushed his gold-rimmed glasses up his nose. He hooked his fingers at her and said, “Yvonne, come here.”

A chill crawled up Yvonne’s slender calves like a venomous snake.

However, she had no choice but to walk to the man.

“Ah…”
