The police officer opened the door of the cell, and Christopher walked out with a straight face.

When brushing past Bella, Christopher paused and leaned into her ear to whisper softly. “Either way, thank you for visiting me, Bella. This is a birthday I’ll never forget.”

The group then took off.

“I need to take medication for my illness, so the substance showed up as positive in my urine sample. I would like to apologize for causing trouble to the police and taking up public resources just to clear the misunderstanding.”

He hung his head low somberly. The high and mighty leader of a corporation humbled himself to admit a mistake that was not his fault in the first place.

He carried himself with such grace.
