Grant’s mother, Isla, had lost her sanity, and Grant seemed to derive satisfaction from ruthlessly killing animals. Even Grant’s uncle, the heir to the Fowler family, had brutally murdered his lover in a horrifically gruesome way.
Suddenly, a chilling thought crossed Bella’s mind. ‘Did the entire Fowler family somehow suffer from mental disorders? Had Grant inherited his mother’s mental illness, leading him to such mad behavior?’
Steven muttered in disbelief, shaking his head. “Does Grant have a mental disorder? But he doesn’t seem insane at all. His emotions are always perfectly under control!”
“That’s exactly what scares me the most,” Wilma said, her face etched with worry, and her eyes red with tears. “I’m afraid he’s been hiding his true self all these years, hiding his real nature just to get close to you. I fear he’s up to no good. I fear he’ll try to hurt you! Young Master Grant’s habit of killing animals for fun shows he has violent tendencies. He’s cold-hearted by nature. He’s a psychopath! But we still don’t have enough evidence to prove that he’s mentally ill.”
Bella composed herself for a moment. She felt a shiver run down her spine. “It’s true that mental disorders can be hereditary. Not just Madam Isla. I suspect her brother might not have been entirely normal either.”
“Ms. Bella, I remember now! I think my father mentioned it once,” Steven suddenly exclaimed, his eyes wide. “The murder case involving the Fowler family’s eldest son, Lucas Fowler. It was handled by one of my father’s colleagues. In the first trial, he was sentenced to death. But during the appeal, his lawyer submitted a report diagnosing him with a mental disorder, so his sentence was reduced to life imprisonment.”
He continued, “In Savrow, our justice system has strict protocols for determining if a criminal has a mental illness. The fact that Lucas Fowler was able to bypass all these layers of scrutiny can only mean one thing—he was a complete lunatic!”
Bella lowered her gaze as she silently acknowledged Steven’s theory.
Steven added, “In any case, Ms. Bella, you must stay as far away from Grant as possible! As the saying goes, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. He’s been away from home for twenty years. There’s no way he’s suddenly become honest and upstanding. Who knows what kind of schemes he’s been cooking up, waiting to strike back?”
Wilma gasped, slapping her forehead. “Oh no! Could he be trying to compete with Young Master Justin for the inheritance? He’s so deranged! Could he be plotting against Young Master Justin?!”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson)
I am reading this book from last year. Its very long story but at start i find enjoyable.Still there is no closure , dragging the story and the writer is running out of ideas. Its frustrating that they don't upload chapters regularly....
If you are about to start reading this “ongoing” book….don’t. It’s a great read but mo regular updates and leaves you hanging. Took me months to get to chapter 2370 (this app only has it to chapter 2368….learned to search different links to read ahead a bit). These ongoing books are just not worth the time since their author (s) take days/weeks to upload new chapters. Again great sultry, long drawn out at times, but not worth the frustration of no new updates....
No update in 6 days!!! Really??? I’m about over this story and ready to move on, the wait is to long....
Pls update regularly or least let us know why it's taking so long...
Ok I was thinking last night. I really hope the author hasn’t been affected by hurricane Helene. Not sure where they are located but I hope everyone is safe...
It’s been 87 years since the update with only 2 chapters. 🙄...
Why is it taking so long to update chapters....
Do u have plans to update more chapters or the story just end on Chapter 2270? It's been a while that no more chapter has been loaded yet. ty...
