In an instant, Bella burst into tears, each tear brimming with joy and warmth, streaming down her cheeks uncontrollably.
She knew it… She had always known!
The moment she laid eyes on Jace, she knew he was Hugh!
Even if Jace was cold and emotionless and kept her at arm’s length, that familiar, close bond could never be mistaken.
“Young Madam... Why are you crying?” Wilma quickly pulled out a handkerchief and hurriedly tried to wipe away her tears.
Bella forced herself to calm down, her voice low and steady. “Ralph, who else have you told about this?”
Ralph, experienced after years of handling cases, was composed. “This is no small matter. I only told you. I haven’t informed Dad or my mom yet.”
“You’ve done well. For now, this must remain between us. We absolutely can’t tell Dad or Aunt Mila.” Bella’s eyes gleamed with concern, her heart constricting anxiously. “I’m worried our enemy will find out, and even more worried the person controlling Hugh will hurt him if his identity is revealed!”
Ralph’s tone grew even more serious. “Bella, don’t worry. I’ve thought of that too. When I go back, I’ll keep it from Mom for now and try to stabilize her emotions. Otherwise, with her temperament, she’ll turn the world upside down searching for Hugh. Who knows what kind of chaos that might cause!”
He paused, then asked in confusion and concern, “Since Hugh didn’t die... Who saved him after he fell into the sea? What did he go through? And why has he changed so much?!”
“Hugh has likely lost all his memories. He doesn’t remember us at all.” Bella’s mind flashed back to the gruesome scar on his body, and her heart twisted in sharp pain. “I’ve seen the injuries on him. If it weren’t for someone saving and treating him, he never would’ve survived on his own. Someone must have rescued him, healed him, and then…”
“And then turned him into this cold, heartless person? When I faced him in combat, it was like fighting a killing machine!” Ralph’s voice trembled with restrained grief. “Who on earth did this to him?!”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson)
I am reading this book from last year. Its very long story but at start i find enjoyable.Still there is no closure , dragging the story and the writer is running out of ideas. Its frustrating that they don't upload chapters regularly....
If you are about to start reading this “ongoing” book….don’t. It’s a great read but mo regular updates and leaves you hanging. Took me months to get to chapter 2370 (this app only has it to chapter 2368….learned to search different links to read ahead a bit). These ongoing books are just not worth the time since their author (s) take days/weeks to upload new chapters. Again great sultry, long drawn out at times, but not worth the frustration of no new updates....
No update in 6 days!!! Really??? I’m about over this story and ready to move on, the wait is to long....
Pls update regularly or least let us know why it's taking so long...
Ok I was thinking last night. I really hope the author hasn’t been affected by hurricane Helene. Not sure where they are located but I hope everyone is safe...
It’s been 87 years since the update with only 2 chapters. 🙄...
Why is it taking so long to update chapters....
Do u have plans to update more chapters or the story just end on Chapter 2270? It's been a while that no more chapter has been loaded yet. ty...
Pls update...
Please update. Thanks and more power!...
