The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2369

The room fell into stunned silence as everyone exchanged bewildered glances.

However, this was somewhat expected.

Grant was the only son of Gregory’s late first wife. The Salvador Corporation and the entire Salvador family should have been his by right. However, due to his health, his younger brother, Justin, had been given the opportunity to rise.

Now that Grant had recovered, he was clearly determined to reclaim what he had lost.

Joining the Salvador Corporation was the first step in his quest to seize control!

It seemed that the power structure within the Salvador family was about to change. The tide was shifting!

At this moment, Paul stepped forward and announced in a serious tone. “We will now proceed with a vote on appointing Young Master Grant as an executive director on the Salvador Corporation’s Board of Directors.”

As soon as the words left his lips, three board members eagerly raised their hands.

Grant remained calm, but Gregory’s eyes lit up, and he gave the three directors an approving look.

Seeing this, the others quickly followed suit.

After all, Grant was the rightful eldest son of the Salvador family, and he clearly had Gregory’s favor. It was evident that Grant would become a figure of significant influence, standing on equal footing with Justin in the future.

Allowing him to join the board was a small compromise. No one wanted to risk upsetting Gregory over something trivial.

Besides, many of them had resentments with Justin. Though he had led the corporation to great success, bringing them immense profits year after year, his rigid and straightforward personality made him unapproachable.

In the blink of an eye, nearly every board member raised their hand.

Only Justin remained unmoved. His gaze was lowered, his posture composed, and he showed no reaction.

Grant’s lips curled into a faint, almost imperceptible smirk as he observed Justin’s calm, indifferent demeanor.

Grant’s eyes, cold and unfathomable, were like a shadowy, primeval forest, cloaked in mystery.

“Justin, do you have an objection to your elder brother joining the board?” Gregory’s tone deepened, carrying a faint note of interrogation as he addressed Justin’s lack of response.

“With half of the board voting in favor, it’s already a done deal,” Justin responded coldly, neither angry nor particularly pleased. “My vote doesn’t change anything. The chairman has gotten what he wanted. No point in making a big fuss about it, is there?”

The room fell silent. Some exchanged glances while others watched the family strife unfold with faint amusement.

Only Justin would dare to speak like this. He was truly a man whose authority rivaled even the head of the family!

Gregory’s face turned pale. He had been publicly challenged, his chest filled with frustration, but he could not lash out in front of everyone and had to suppress it.

“Thank you for your support, everyone.” Grant’s dark eyes curled into a polite, graceful smile. “Many of you seated here are elders who fought alongside my father to build this corporation. You are not just colleagues but mentors to me. I look forward to learning from all of you in the future and humbly seek your guidance. Thank you in advance.”

His words had the soft, warm touch of a gentle spring breeze, leaving the board members feeling flattered and pleased.

Could Justin have spoken like this? No, not at all! Justin was nowhere near as capable of charming the room.

Applause erupted, solidifying Grant’s entry into the board.

With measured steps, Grant took a seat opposite Justin. Their eyes met, and an invisible wave of tension seemed to ripple through the conference room, threatening to overturn the very walls.

“Next, let’s have Justin introduce the details of the A5 project,” Gregory said, sitting down with a lingering trace of displeasure in his gaze.

Justin lowered his eyes, picked up the project file, and walked to the podium. Standing before the illuminated screen, he addressed the board.

Applause broke out, and the matter was settled. Grant had officially joined the board. He moved slowly to the seat directly opposite Justin.

As their gazes locked, the air in the room seemed to crackle with an unseen tension, as if a raging storm was about to break loose.
