The Divorced Heiress Revenge (Bella Thompson) novel Chapter 2398

Gregory was at a complete loss, shouting anxiously, “Dad! Dad! What’s wrong?! Someone call an ambulance!”

The conference room descended into chaos as panic spread.

Grant pushed through the crowd, kneeling on one knee beside Nigel. His face was full of worry as he stared at his grandfather, whose complexion was ashen and pain-stricken. “Grandpa, are you having a heart attack? Please, hold on.”

Suddenly, he leaned closer, whispering with a low chuckle near Nigel’s ear, “Otherwise, you won’t live to see me replace Justin and take over the Salvador Corporation as the president.”

Nigel’s bloodshot eyes widened. His mouth moved laboriously as he forced out, “W-Wolf... In... Sheep’s... Clothing...”

“A very high compliment. Thank you for the praise,” Grant replied with a smirk, his eyes glinting with a dark, arrogant light.

Nigel was rushed to the hospital after his sudden collapse.

Given the critical importance of the emergency board meeting, it was decided that the proceedings would continue. Gregory and Grant both stayed behind to attend, while Justin remained detained at the police station.

This left only Matt to accompany Nigel to the hospital.

Outside the operating room, Matt stood with fists clenched, his heart heavy with grief and rage. Tears welled in his eyes as he watched Nigel being wheeled into surgery.

Nigel had dedicated his entire life to the company. Yet, in his most critical moment, there was no one by his side.

Matt rubbed his reddened eyes and, unable to think of any other solution, tremblingly dialed Bella’s number.

The phone rang several times without an answer.

Just as he was about to hang up, Bella picked up, her voice slightly breathless. “Uncle Matt, sorry, I was busy just now. What’s wrong?”

“Ms. Thompson...” Matt’s throat tightened, his voice breaking.

Sensing something amiss, Bella’s tone turned urgent. “Uncle Matt, has something happened to Grandpa Nigel?”
