Chapter 236
Ezra got up and stretched out his arms for a hug.
Olivia picked him up, set him aside, and examined him carefully. Only then was she finally relieved.
“You brat, why did you provoke Jodie Pratt for no reason? What if you get hurt?”
“I didn’t provoke her. The bee stung her only because she insisted on giving me trouble.”
“Really?”
“Of course, I never lic.”
“The bee you mentioned is chubby, cute, and named Buzz?”
“Uh…” Ezra hesitated, saying to himself, “Oh no, my secret is out.”
He had a bad feeling.
“She cursed you first. Buzz stung her because it was angry.”
“So, you were trying to protect me?”
“Of course, nobody can pick on my mom in front of me, not even me!”
“I see. Thank you, sweetheart!
“But, baby, you are just a kid. The first thing you should do is protect yourself, okay? I will take care of my own business.”
“Okay. I’ll be more cautious about taking revenge on a bad woman so you’ll never know!” Ezra said seriously.
Olivia touched her forehead helplessly.
She really had no idea what to do with this mischievous boy.
She held Ezra in her arms. Just as she was about to walk out, Ezra struggled uneasily.
“Mommy, Daddy doesn’t seem to be feeling well. Shall we take him home?”
Ezra looked worriedly at William, who was sleeping on the sofa with his eyes closed.
“Uncle Marshall will take care of him. He will be fine.”
“But Daddy came here to check up on me, even though he is not feeling well. Uncle Reed said Daddy’s allergies are very bad. Let’s not leave him here alone, okay?”
“He came here in the middle of the night to check up on you?”
“Yes. Daddy thought I was hurt by the evil woman. When he came, he was sweating all over and didn’t look well. But he refused to let Uncle Reed treat him,” Ezra said firmly.
Marshall, who had been standing aside, was deeply grateful for Ezra.
“Thank G od. Young Mr. Kinsman cleared Mr. Kinsman’s name!” he thought.
“That’s right, Mrs. Kinsman. Mr. Kinsman hastened here because he was told that Ms. Pratt was coming to young Mr. Kinsman’s ward and making trouble for him.”
Marshall took the opportunity to help his boss.
Olivia frowned slightly when she noticed that William didn’t look well.
She set Ezra down, leaned forward, and felt William’s forehead.
Fortunately, he wasn’t having a fever.
But the rashes on his body seemed redder and more serious.
“Marshall, bring Reed downstairs. Also, call Jameson and ask him to come over with the medicine William used earlier.”
“Okay, I’ll go right away.”
“Your daddy is sick, Ezra. Let’s help him lie down on the bed for a while, okay?”
“Okay, I’ll help!”
Ezra sprang into action. He removed all the snacks he had placed on the hospital bed and put the pillow in place.
Olivia’s heart warmed as she saw how considerate her son was.

She carefully helped William onto the bed.
Then she tucked him in and wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel.
“Ezra, you sent me a message saying you wouldn’t talk. Why is that? Did something happen?”
“I was joking. I just wanted to scare Daddy for being unfaithful to you”
“Then why are you talking now? Have you forgiven him?”
“Um, when he first arrived, he seemed very concerned about me. I couldn’t help but talk to him! Anyway, I didn’t want to break off relations with him. I just wanted to scare him”
Ezra rubbed his little hands. When he said this, he seemed to be a little embarra**ed,
“Mommy, Daddy seems to love me very much!” he continued mysteriously, sounding proud without trying to hide it
“You also love him?”
“Yes, but you are still the person I love the most! You are the best and most beautiful mommy in the world!”
Olivia roared with laughter. “You little sweet talker!”
“Mommy, do you love Daddy?”
Olivia was stunned.
She didn’t expect that one day she would discuss this with her five-year-old son.
But looking at the little boy’s serious face, she felt that it would not be easy to fool him.
“I used to love your daddy very much,” Olivia thought for a moment and answered seriously,
William had fallen asleep and could not hear anything.
So it was not a problem for her to talk to her son about it.
Olivia tried her best to comfort herself.
“Used to? What about now?”
“Would you like me to heat up some chocolate milk for you, Ezra? Are you hungry?”
“Mom, don’t change the topic. I’ll notice.”
“Uh…” It was getting harder and harder to fool this brat.
“Maybe I don’t love him anymore. After all, love will always fade away”
“Mom, you are not being honest. You kept looking to the left. You’re lying! I’ve caught you!”
“How clever you are! Let’s go and see what took Uncle Reed so long this time. Your mother really needs him now!”
She needed Reed to show up and treat William as soon as possible. So the subject could be changed quietly.
Olivia held Ezra’s hands and walked to the door.
At that moment, William’s long eyelashes fluttered as he lay on the hospital bed.
Although he was too weak to open his eyes, he could hear the conversation between Olivia and Ezra clearly.
When he heard Olivia say that she loved him, he was exhilarated.
He knew that this heartless woman still had a place in her heart for him!
He struggled to wake up. He couldn’t wait to prove that he was not dreaming and that what he had heard was real.
However, no matter how hard he tried, he could not open his eyes.
His mind began to blur as well, and he soon lost consciousness.
When William woke up again, it was already the next morning.
A tantalizing scent wafted over, and he opened his eyes in a daze.
But what came into view was Jodie’s face, which had returned to normal.
William immediately became wide awake.
His handsome face instantly darkened.
“Miss Jodie Pratt, why are you here?” he asked, upset.

He began to look for his mobile phone.
“Is this how Marshall performs his duties as my special a**istant?
“How dare he let this woman in when I was asleep?!” William thought in anger.
“William, you’re finally awake. I’ve been waiting here for so long!” As Jodie spoke, she moved closer to William and grabbed
his arm.
