Chapter 75
Jameson’s lab was vast, eyeballing it to be at least 5,000 square feet.
With Ezra clinging to him, Jameson dove straight into the treatment room on the right. He would likely be too wrapped up with the little tyke to notice Olivia for a bit.
With this in mind, Olivia scanned the fire evacuation map hanging on the wall and then headed towards the recuperation area marked on it.
According to functional divisions, it’s highly probable that severe trauma patients would be a**igned to this section of the medical lab.
Thankfully, every room was labelled, making it a breeze for Olivia to find the recuperation area.
The entire rest area comprises three rooms.
Olivia took out a small white chip from her pocket, pressed the button on it, and stuck it on the door closest to her.
The chip didn’t react, so Olivia casually removed it and headed to the second room.
This small white chip was a compact thermal detector. Stick it on a door, and if there was someone inside, the chip would instantly light up red.
Simple and efficient.
Unfortunately, after trying two rooms in a row, the chip remained silent.
Only one room was left.
Standing in front of the door, Olivia let out a deep sigh.
The chip lit up!
Someone was inside!
Seeing the chip glow red, Olivia felt a surge of joy and swiftly turned the doorknob, slipping inside.
Little did Olivia expect to bump into someone as soon as she entered.
A deep, magnetic voice echoed from above Olivia’s head, sending a chill down her spine.
“Miss Clarke? May I know what brings you to my room unannounced?”
William looked leisurely at the surprised young woman before him. His high–end silk shirt was so meticulously crafted it seemed almost seamless, elevating his already refined aura.
“This is my first time seeing such a colossal medical lab, curiosity got the better of me. I apologize for the intrusion, Mr. Kinsman.” Olivia’s eyes flicked upwards, swiftly suppressing her startled heart, and replied in a languid tone.
“Are you sure, Miss Clarke?” William clearly didn’t buy her explanation.
“What’s wrong? Is Mr. Kinsman now policing people’s curiosity? I did barge in unexpectedly, but you didn’t go naked either. Do you want me to take responsibilities?”
“It’s not impossible to take responsibilities. If Miss Clarke is willing…”
William’s eyes were half–lidded, his lips curled in an enticing grin, each word a tantalizing tease.
“I’m sorry, but I’ve lost interest in you lately, Mr. Kinsman. So please, no more shooting from the hip in front of the media.”
Olivia intentionally deflected the conversation, also to settle scores over his “big talk” on the trending topic.
Every time she caught sight of William now, her mind would automatically conjure the image of him standing before the reporters, solemnly declaring his pursuit of her.
William is so shameless!
“No biggie, Miss Clarke. No need to say thank you. After all, no one would sit on their hands when an exceptional woman like you is wrongly labeled as the homewrecker.”
William looked at Olivia’s slightly fuming face, feigning righteousness.
Olivia was so speechless. Has this jerk changed his character recently?
Hmm, William does seem a bit off–kilter!
“So, Mr. Kinsman, playing white knight and saving the damsel in distress, should I be thanking you?”

Chapter 75
“No need to say thank you, Miss Clarke. I don’t lack anything. If you still feel indebted, you can consider tying the knot
with me.”
William’s voice was deep and seductive, determined to flirt with her.
Tie the knot, no way!
William was daydreaming under the broad daylight?
The anger in Olivia’s heart was shooting through the roof.
However, Olivia quickly got a grip on her emotions, and the fury in her eyes dissolved, replaced by a beguiling smile.
“Marrying you isn’t out of the question if you’re willing to offer the Kinsman Group as a dowry. I might mull it over.”
Olivia looked up, her eyes twinkling with an increasingly soft yet intense smile, radiating charm. Step by step, she moved closer to William, her slender fingers fearlessly toying with his tie.
“The Kinsman Group? You are really demanding, Miss Clarke.”
William looked slightly taken aback, his brow furrowing.
Olivia is so audacious, asking for the entire Kinsman Group?
The kicker is, he’s actually considering her audacious proposal…
“Are you serious, Miss Clarke?”
After a moment, William spoke, as though he was genuinely ready to hand over his business empire.
The earnestness that suddenly flashed in William’s deep eyes, like a blazing fire, caught Olivia off guard.
Olivia almost believed it
William’s act was so convincing she almost believed it!
“It’s just a joke, Mr. Kinsman, don’t take it seriously.”
William’s care and favor, something Olivia had yearned for but never obtained…
Now within her reach, Olivia wants nothing but to flee.
As Olivia turned to run, her wrist was seized in a firm grip.
“Olivia, you should know that I never joke with anyone.”
William had Olivia cornered against the wall, his arm circling her slender waist. He bent down to murmur in her ear, his warm breath tickling her earlobe, sending tingles of numbness through her body, making it almost impossible for her to hold herself up.
“William, what are you trying to do? Let me go…”
“What if I don’t?”
“You…”
The tension between the two against the wall was as thick as thieves. Jameson, who had just stepped out of the treatment room with Ezra, was gob smacked at the sight before him.
