The Enigmatic Return (Neera and Jean) novel Chapter 613

The Garcia Group's official page published an article for the public that evening. This article was written as a criticism of Neera. They called her an ungrateful person or a cruel woman.

"She hid her identity and pretended not to notice her sister's condition. She utterly blinded the Garcia family. The Garcia family was reluctant to speak about the earlier incident, but now that her sister is having a heart attack, she stubbornly refuses to intervene when the situation is urgent. Do doctors not require medical ethics? A doctor's profession entails treating illnesses and saving lives, yet she is limited in her thinking and just interested in making money! She only possesses medical knowledge; she lacks medical ethics. How can someone like that be considered a medical genius?"

These comments were fired at Neera like numerous arrows of great force. The article made no impact that night. But by the next morning, there was already a small portion of the forwarding volume!

The media could only observe the battle in silence because they had been warned and dared not engage. In contrast to the media, everyone had the freedom to speak on these concerns. Anyone could contribute and add a few words, especially when it came to this kind of familial bond.

Larry didn't have time to brush his teeth or wash his face when he awoke. He made a hurried call to Jean instead. "It's bad, Mr. Beauvort! Mrs. Beauvort was personally exposed on the Garcia Group's official page! They also released a lengthy statement in which they turned things upside down, blamed the innocent, and disparaged Mrs. Beauvort! It's now all over the internet!"

Several people were eating breakfast in Imperial Gardens. Jean's eyes went icy when he heard this.

"You must quickly control public opinion and prevent the situation from getting worse!" said Jean.

"I have already requested someone to do it. But no matter how much this issue is repressed, there is no way to end it all. Now that the content has been forwarded and shared, netizens have the right to express themselves freely, and there are many users on numerous platforms. The amount is enormous. It is challenging to censor every piece of news," Larry responded.

He felt numb all over when he considered the consequences of what had happened and pleaded guilty. "I apologize, Mr. Beauvort; I did my best, but I didn't expect to be taken advantage of by the Garcia family.

He would never have thought that Garcia Group's official page would publish an article in person! By doing so, Garcia Group made it plain that there was no going back and no turning back!

Jean had a grave look on his face.

Neera picked up his phone and spoke briefly on the other end. "Don't blame yourself; you did a good job. After all, even if we were able to stop it temporarily, we wouldn't be able to do it permanently. They will always be able to find ways to attack me if they want to."

She didn't even have the tiniest hint of panic.

"A straight foot has no fear of a crooked shoe. No matter what they say, it will never become an actuality. The Garcia family is free to do as they like. I have no fear. You can just let this situation go on without taking any action."

After Jean heard this, his face was clearly disapproving. "If this issue persists, you risk becoming a victim of cyberbullying. Have you ever given it any thought?" said Jean.

In the past, people who couldn't stand cyberbullying experienced despair and even committed suicide. The notion of something like this happening to Neera made him feel genuinely resentful in his heart.

Neera nodded; her expression was calm. "I know, but have you ever considered that now that the situation has come to light, if you block any relevant news now, it will only add to the conspiracy?"

Jean frowned and continued, "Not only will I block all relevant news, but I will also help you."

"Help me with what?" Neera grinned. "Help me explain? Or use other news to help me divert everyone's attention?" She spoke softly before expressing her attitude.

"I know you're doing it for my benefit, but I'd like to use this opportunity to finally get rid of the Garcia Group. In the future, I don't want to be stuck with their family. Therefore, using evidence as a counterattack is the best way."

When Jean suddenly understood what she wanted to do, his brows furrowed.

"I understand you're sick of the Garcia family's constant pestering. I can make Garcia Group vanish!"

He simply didn't want her to handle things in this manner because he was scared she would be hurt.

Breakfast was getting cold, but no one moved their forks.

"I know you can do it, but I don't want to involve you any more. You are the boss of the Beauvort Group. Whatever you do, everyone will be watching. I don't want you to be the source of gossip, so please listen to me this time," Neera said with a smile on her face.

She was composed and had her own point of view. Jean nonetheless resisted. Neera became resolute and shouted out after the two remained deadlocked.

"This is just between me and the Garcias. It has absolutely nothing to do with you. I hope you stay out of it."

Jean's expression abruptly changed. He felt a burning rage inside, but he restrained himself since he didn't want to fight. However, what she just said pricked his heart like a needle. He couldn't turn away from it.

"Even if you do this and destroy the Garcia family, what about you? Have you ever considered what kind of criticism you might encounter next?"

Neera paused for a little while before muttering, "It's okay; I don't care about such comments."

She grew obstinate, and no one was able to persuade her.

Several different expressions could be seen on Jean's face, but in the end he gave up and stood to leave. "It's up to you now that you've made a decision."

Without eating anything, he spoke, then turned and walked upstairs.
