Haynes' face turned pale. "What did you say?!"
On the other end, his assistant hurriedly replied, "The young master fell into the lake and has been taken to the hospital by ambulance!"
...
At the amusement park, Stella's good mood evaporated completely after a call from Haynes.
Marvin, ever the sensible one, suggested, "Stella, since Keen is missing, we should go look for him. We won't enjoy ourselves anyway if we keep worrying."
Stella's eyes flickered, like the wavering flame of a candle, deep in thought.
Marvin added, "Keen and I go to the same preschool. We're usually good friends, and I'd be really upset if something happened to him."
Stella gave Marvin a complex look. At preschool, Keen often bullied Marvin. She had already been called twice to resolve their issues. Yet Marvin still called Keen his friend, forgiving him without hesitation. It was heartbreakingly mature.
Neville chimed in, "We should definitely look for him. After all, Keen is your son. Even if it was another child from the preschool who went missing, we'd help search."
Neville, with his seemingly laid-back demeanor, had such a soft heart. It was probably this nature of his that raised Marvin to be such a considerate kid.
Stella pondered for a moment and nodded gently.
As they headed toward the exit, Marvin suddenly stopped, staring blankly in a particular direction.
Stella noticed Marvin's odd behavior and asked gently, "Marvin, what's up?"
Marvin snapped back to reality. "Oh, nothing... Dad, Stella, I just need to use the restroom."
