“Father,” Philip called out when he saw his father standing in front of the stargate.
Roger nodded and said, “Are you ready?”
Philip glanced at the stargate that had a gap open and said after a brief hesitation, “I’m ready…”
Roger turned around, looked at Philip kindly, and said, “You’re all alone this time. Your friends won’t enter the land of the other shore with you. When you get there, you have to think and choose carefully. If you don’t want to go, tell me now and you won’t have to.”
Philip looked at Roger seriously and said with a smile, “Father, do I still have a choice now?”
Roger remained silent, while Philip added. “Since I’ve made my choice, I won’t change my mind. ”
“Good! As expected of Roger Clarke’s son!”
Roger nodded with a smile and said, “Don’t worry. Nothing will happen here with me around. When you’re on the land of the other shore, grow up as soon as possible, learn about the situation there, and find clues about your mother.”
“I understand,” Philip replied.
“You only have three years. After three years, I’ll open the stargate again to welcome your return,” Roger said solemnly, his eyes full of expectation and hope.
