The Fortune-Telling Heiress novel Chapter 422

Rebcca noticed Tanya's sour expression and gently tugged on her sleeve, whispering, "Mom, Maddie is just being stubborn right now. But we can handle this if we…"

She leaned in and whispered something into Tanya's ear.

Tanya hesitated. "Are you sure about this? Isn't it a little too harsh?"

Rebecca sighed, her tone exasperated yet firm. "It's the only way to make Maddie face reality! She needs to understand that without the Locke family, she won't have the comfortable life she's enjoying now."

Tanya reluctantly nodded. "If this helps her realize the truth, then so be it."

A little while later, Jordan arrived in his car. He stepped out and walked toward Madison with urgency. "Ms. Madison, what's going on?" he asked, his gaze flickering to Yara, Mia, and Jade standing beside her.

He had seen them numerous times before and knew their usual appearances. Now, seeing all three of them looking weak and disheartened—especially with talismans stuck to Yara's and Mia's foreheads—his concern deepened.

"What happened to Mia?" he asked.

Madison's voice was calm. "I'll explain later. First, find us a place to stay."

At that moment, Wanda emerged from the house, pushing two small suitcases. "Ms. Locke, I didn't pack your clothes or jewelry. I just packed the basics."

Jordan blinked, confused. "Ms. Madison, what's going on?"

Yara's tone was cold as she sneered, "What do you think? We're getting kicked out."

Jordan froze. He turned toward Tanya and Rebecca, who were standing off to the side. His disbelief quickly gave way to anger. "Do you know what you're doing?"

He had always known that the Locke family favored Rebecca over Madison, but he had never expected them to go to this extent.

"You're throwing your own daughter out onto the streets? Do you want her to become homeless? Are you even her biological mother? This was Rebecca's idea, wasn't it?"
