"Hmm?" Gene murmured, and quickly realized that Frank wanted those land lots and chuckled, "Oh, it's no big deal. I'll ask Zorn Woss right now and see if he left the bid yet. If he is, I'll tell him to handle the paperwork—you can have all the land lots, Mr. Lawrence."

"What?!" Rory Thames snapped right then, folding her arms before her chest and frowning. "We spent a fortune buying those! And he hasn't even cured you. What if he runs away before he actually does it? What are we going to do then?!"

"Shut up. Did anyone ask you?" Gene growled icily, shooting Rory a cool glare and clearly not minding putting her in her place.

Rory snorted in frustration and stormed off.

Gene then turned back to Frank and smiled faintly, "It's alright, Mr. Lawrence—don't worry about her. A couple tracts of land really is nothing. I'll have Zorn arrange the transfer when he returns."
