The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1286

Dean sneered. "But that's not the case if you have a referral letter. With that, you'll just have to work as an intern for a couple of months before you receive cases directly. In a few years, you will be promoted. Remember—I sacrificed myself to get you this opportunity. How could you call this prostitution?"

"That's right, Jean."

Yew sprang to her feet as she added coolly, "Our senior worked hard for this opportunity for our sake—we must seize it. And it's no big deal anyway—what's the difference between doing it with a boyfriend and our senior?"

"Shut up!"

Jean snapped at her, "Do you think everyone's just like you? Does your boyfriend know what you've been doing while he's working to pay for your tuition?! You're cheating on him and prostituting yourself, so don't think you can tell us what to do here!"

"Shut up!"

Yew bellowed, springing to her feet like a cat that had its tail stomped on. "He may have funded my studies, but our social standing is different now! He's just a wage slave, while I'm going to be a chief of the department in a hospital! What I do is none of your business!"

Jean laughed despite herself and pulled Winter along as they headed for the door. "Come on. I thought they're just some friends Yew brought along, but turns out it's just her bringing her shady dealing to us. The thought that she's been our classmate for years disgusts me."

"Yeah." Winter nodded, feeling contempt toward Yew just then.

Even now, she remembered that man of their age, who always had a kind smile and came to visit Yew whenever he had a holiday.

She certainly felt sorry for him—he would definitely despair if he knew what Yew was doing now.

However, before Winter and Jean could leave, Dean, Jarek, and Sunny stopped them.
