Beneath the hill, Scar ran up to a big man, exclaiming, "Ifor! Someone up there beat us up. Do what you will!"

Ifor Stam chuckled coolly. "You deserved it. Who would attack you if we weren't stealing their stuff?"

Scar was incensed. "You want to get hit, huh?!"

Ifor snorted, undaunted. "I'm not afraid of you like the others are—or have you forgotten how you got that scar? You keep bragging that you got that from another man, when in reality, you're so weak that you can't even cut poultry and hurt yourself!"

Everyone was taken aback and soon laughed themselves silly.

Scar was naturally even more furious, being exposed and belittled on top of that. "It's not just us—those people will brag about beating our village! And what, you're now a migrant or something?"

"Oh, but I do!" Scar scoffed. "You're always bragging to everyone that you're the boss of our village! Why don't you prove it by getting payback for a fellow villager and defending our honor?!"
