Jada stood up just then and said, "You can stay here, Mr. Frankton. I'll bring someone with me to check it out."

"I'm coming with you."

Frank was ready to get up too, but Jada waved him off. "You're the boss. It'd be demeaning if you had to do everything, and we'd look like we're slacking off. Even if it's just to look like we're doing our jobs, you can make the call in case I can't deal with this too."

Frank nodded, while Sylvie and Alda headed to the lounge since they had nothing else to do.

The interior was a lot more human, with arcade machines and various recreation facilities that was a good change for the office environment.

"Have you seen Sally? How is she doing now?"

"Yes." Frank nodded. "But she's gone off the deep end, and you can't blame me if she threatens me eventually."

Whitney sighed again. "That would be her own damn fault."

She certainly could not understand why Sally would get involved with such sinister business instead of sticking to research—not only would she get nothing out of this, but she might even end up dead.

Still, Whitney did not have a poker face, and her thoughts were written all over her face.

Frank certainly felt helpless seeing that—parents really had it hard.

"Well, just stick with me for a while, and you'll run into her eventually," he suggested. "When you do, try to reason with her—I might consider letting it slide if she can turn a new leaf."
