The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2358

At Ocean Sky Hotel, a woman in a dress stood on stage in the second floor banquet hall. She appeared to be in her thirties and had silky smooth hair and luscious red lips. With her smoking pipe, she projected both intelligence and charm.

Below stage were a group of off-state bigwigs, whispering among each other.

After all, the woman was Moxxi, the woman BM Group had sent to this town to avenge the death of Mary. An infamous investor in Wall Street, she was alleged to have gang ties, and those in the business knew her for her ruthless ways.

"Ma'am, do you really think Lugh Frankton would cave willingly? We heard that he's an extraordinary healer who cured Alda Ingram's strange illness, so he's not going to be troubled by your poison, is he?"

The bigwigs had no idea what Moxxi was up to—if they knew this much, how could Moxxi not be aware?

Sure, everyone made mistakes, but not Moxxi. Why did she not at least gather intelligence on her target and went ahead so recklessly instead?

"Don't worry, everyone. He'll be here!" Moxxi smiled nonetheless.

In fact, she was not being stupid.

She knew that the poison would not hurt Frank, and she knew how Frank behaved as well.

The man was a lone ranger and had absolute confidence in his own abilities—the type who dared to walk willingly into a trap.

And even as the thought crossed her mind, the door opened, and Frank himself entered!

Moxxi went below stage right then, speaking to Frank as she did. "Your reputation precedes you, Mr. Frankton. You are every bit as impressive as the rumors claim!"

Frank had no heart for small talk, however, and demanded icily, "Give me the antidote, or call the morgue to pick up your corpse!"

Moxxi laughed. "Calm down. You're one in a million, and you'd be laughed at if you lose your head like this! Let's just talk for a bit, and you can kill me later."

Frank really did not want to waste his breath, however.
