"How astute!"

The burly poacher laughed. "Truth be told, we're bad news, and that shot earlier was meant to kill. And look around you—not one camera in sight, and you'd die for nothing. So you'd better cooperate, or you'd drop dead before you know it."

He actually regretted that first shot, not because of the consequences, but because the cloud parted and the moon shone, allowing him to see Hana's face.
