Laura scowled. "Sorry, but medical facilities are always in demand. When a patient's condition is stable, it's the rule for them to be transferred out of the ICU."

Before Laura answered, Jada snapped, "What now?! With that attitude, you'd be suing the hospital for keeping your father permanently in the ICU later anyway!"

"What's it to you?" Jada snapped coolly.

"I don't care!" Brenda snapped. "As long as my father doesn't wake up, this isn't over yet!"

Frank smirked. "That's your own problem."

He started to turn and leave, but Brenda stopped him. "No, you don't get to leave until this is over!"

Frank snorted. "Over? Your father is perfectly fine! You have no cause to give us trouble!"
