Laura quickly shook her head and smiled. "No, you misunderstand. Those three deserve it, and I'd never help them in a million years… I'd just like to know how your friend woke that geezer up earlier.

"All the medical readings indicated that it would take him a couple of days to regain consciousness… In fact, I'm quite sure you're the reason he was stable enough to be transferred out of the ICU, yes?"

Jada nodded before Frank could answer. "That's right! I won't lie—Mr. Frankton's an incredible healer whom none of you could match!"

Laura nodded "You're right. He's a healer who must prefer anonymity, so may I ask for a favor?"

"For what, to save some rich bigwig?" Jada snorted. "Don't bother—Mr. Frankton has standards. He would pay to save the poor, but if it's the rich, he couldn't be bothered even if paid!"
