Even as Frank spoke, he pointed at The Boss, who was hyperventilating and sweating all over his brow.

He was trembling even as he stood up and pulled out his gun but unexpectedly did not point it at Frank, instead throwing it on the floor along with his combat knife.

He would not have done that too, as he would like to keep fighting like Mariah did, but Frank was just too strong that he did not want to bother.

"So…?" Frank asked, curious.

The Boss sighed in exasperation. "Look, we made a mistake, and you can have that gal as my way of apology. Could you just spare my life?"

Mariah was left gritting her teeth, incensed by the offer. "You despicable prick! We were comrades who survived death, but you're going to sell me off now?! I will end you even if it kills me!"

The Boss snorted coolly. "I didn't want to do this, Mariah, but you saw what he can do. We're both dead if we so much as disrespect him! Just make him a happy man, and we'd both survive!"

Mariah smirked. "I'd rather die than be a slave!"

Frank clapped. "Well said, and don't worry, I have plenty of ladies, even kick-ass ones like you. Go and kill him instead, and I just might spare you!"

And with that, he lifted his foot off Mariah.

While she was caught in disbelief by his words, Frank scowled, "Go!"

Mariah smiled as she scrambled to her feet, picking up her daggers as he advanced on The Boss.
