Martin paused for a moment, then his eyes suddenly lit up. "After Matthew upsets the Wood family, Rachel is getting dragged into it and being pushed around by them.

"Matthew can't do anything with her predicament, but Talon can. After seeing this comparison, she'd know who to choose."

Yvonne got the gist. "Are you saying that we need to allow Talon to prove himself?"

Martin nodded and remarked, "When it comes to comparing things, we tend to just get rid of the less valuable, and that applies to people. With Talon going toe-to-toe with Matthew, it'll be apparent who's better."

Yvonne added, "I'll ring up Talon's mom and ask her to send him to Lambda City."

Inside the elevator, Rachel hooked her arms around Matthew's with a strange expression. It was Rachel's first experience wrapping her arm around a man's, and it felt novel to her.

When the elevator door opened, Rachel quickly let go of Matthew's arm and walked out of Wealthwave Group. However, Matthew stopped in his tracks.

"Are we actually heading out for a meal?"

Rachel shook her head. "I was just trying to get you out of the situation."

Matthew chuckled. "Thanks."

Rachel hummed in acknowledgment before saying, "I hate arranged marriages. My parents are a product of one, and I don't want to end up like them. Back in middle school, I promised myself not to find a partner from Khoitwood."

Matthew remarked with a grin, "Good thing I'm not from Khoitwood."

With conflicted emotions, Rachel gazed at Matthew and added, "Isaac died when he came to see me. The Wood family will definitely come to me for answers. I don't want to drag you into this, so let's not make our relationship public just yet."

Matthew nodded, knowing the Wood family was already aware he was the murderer. Horace might not go after Rachel, but Horace would retaliate against him. So, keeping their relationship under wraps would keep her safe.

"Sounds good. Just as long as it doesn't get in the way of me giving you treatment."

Rachel immediately started blushing with her neck and cheeks turning rosy. "Why do you have to bring this up again?"
