The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 609

Tessa said to the cab driver, "Starting today, I'm done being the old Tessa. I'm ready to give up my reputation, my body, and even my soul for success. I'll stop at nothing until I get what I want.

"You're my fresh start. This will be the new chapter for the ruthless me. Aren't you going to give me a free ride?"

As the cab driver dropped her off at the Evans residence, she pulled out a knife. He was so scared that he didn't even try to collect the fare.

Despite so, everything was still just Tessa's wishful thinking.

Sure, she could embrace her dark side, throwing away her dignity and conscience to make money. But in the end, she still wouldn't make a lot. Acquiring the prowess of a cultivator was even more impossible.

Tessa wandered around like a lost soul, completely unaware of how much time had passed.

A person in front of her suddenly called out, "Tessa Sanders!"

What? She looked up and saw a man in his 30s. Rocking thick glasses and a checkered shirt, he had a slim build with a beard on his face.

At first glance, Tessa could tell the man was Leander Farburg.

Four years ago, before Matthew was locked up, the company had close to 10 million dollars saved up. Leander mentioned he was working on a brain-computer interface experiment and wanted to pitch it to Matthew for investment.

Matthew wasn't around, so Tessa handled it and turned Leander down pretty quickly. She didn't expect to see Leander around.

"Oh, it's you. If you're looking for investments, just forget it."

Leander responded with a grin, "I'm not looking to raise funds. Instead, I'm searching for volunteers. Our brain-computer interface experiment has been a success, and we've developed an exoskeleton system. We're looking for both male and female volunteers for the human trials."

Tessa had no clue what Leander was talking about. "I see. Just get back to what you're doing. I won't bother you anymore."

Leander enthusiastically continued, "Hold on. Are you aware of what my research project is about? Let me put it this way. An average woman can lift about 50 pounds. But with my product, she can carry up to 1,000 pounds.

"Upon using my product, a woman's strength can rival that of a man. If we enhance it with some upgrades, she might even have the strength equivalent of 100 men.

"I heard your company closed down. Are you interested in being our volunteer?"
