The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 667

Kingston looked around his bedroom, cringing as he recalled that Matthew had spotted the tissues. He awkwardly suggested, "If you don't mind, I'll take the couch, and you can have the bed."

Matthew couldn't bring himself to sleep in the room because the smell was too strong. So, he shook his head and said, "I'm not going in there. Let me take the couch.

"Honestly, this place could use some cleaning. No woman would even step foot in here." He couldn't help but speak his mind.

Kingston shook his head. "No woman is going to visit my place. Trust me on that."

He had just broken up with his girlfriend. Even after he offered more money for the wedding gift, she still ended things with him. At this point, he'd lost all hope in women.

Matthew continued to persuade Kingston to do some housecleaning. "You never know. What if a woman somehow takes a liking to you? Your terrible hygiene would scare her away."

Kingston chuckled. "If I ever get a woman to like me, I'd scrub this place until it's spotless. I'd treat her like a princess and give her all I've got."

Matthew finally saw through Kingston now. No matter what he said, he wasn't planning on cleaning up anytime soon.

He went over to the couch and lifted the cushion. Sure enough, it was spotless underneath, so he lay down. "I'll be sleeping here, so don't bother me."

Early the next morning, a woman's voice rang out from the yard.

"Dr. Wooler? You home, Kingy?" Wendy called out as she walked to the front door.

Matthew got up to open the door and was surprised to see Wendy. "Did something happen at the poultry farm?"

Wendy looked over Matthew's shoulder and peered inside. "Nothing happened. The sick chickens have gotten better. Where's Kingy? Is he home?"

Matthew was a bit baffled. Just yesterday, Wendy was calling Kingston "Dr. Wooler", but now she was calling him "Kingy". Her attitude toward him switched up pretty quickly.
