"If you're doing this alone, you don't even have someone to watch your back. Isn't that a bit reckless? Just wait for me to come back, and we'll go together."

Dressed in black and sporting a high ponytail, Ivy's serious expression made her look sleek and professional. Her curves under her black outfit added a fiery allure to her cold demeanor.

Matthew dismissively waved his hand. "Let the man deal with all the action and bloodshed."

Ivy furrowed her brows. "I'm your bodyguard and your muscle, Mr. Grant. Treat me as a weapon at your command. Don't treat me like I'm just some woman."

Matthew shook his head. "Like it or not, you're still a woman."

Ivy raised her smooth hand, running it through her hair as she fixed her gaze on Matthew. "If you want to sleep with me, then I can be a woman. Do you want me now?"

Matthew's jaw dropped as he stared at Ivy in disbelief. Her words left him utterly dumbfounded.

After snapping out of it, Matthew sternly stated, "D-don't joke around like that."

Ivy solemnly responded, "I'm dead serious. Mr. Mullins and I have an agreement, so I'm all yours for life. Whatever you need me to do, I'll do it without question. For anything you want, I'll make it happen for you."

Matthew furrowed his brows as he listened, taking a closer look at Ivy. Her eyes looked clear, but it only made him more suspicious.

"Did Ansel gaslight you into this?"

Ivy nonchalantly glanced at Matthew. "Do you really think I'm that foolish?"

Matthew retorted in annoyance, "If you're not stupid, then why are you throwing your life away?"

Ivy looked at Matthew and explained, "I've done all this so you'll do something for me."

What was she after? Matthew was hearing this for the first time. "You've sacrificed so much for it. Can you tell me what it's all about?"
